Project Management and Coordination

Objectives

To ensure the optimal coordination of scientific, human and financial resources. To optimise pertinent integration between WP research activities. To ensure the appropriate functioning and impact of a Steering Committee. To ensure the timely and appropriate reporting to the EC.

Description of work

• Coordination of internal technical R&D activities, through an established monitoring mechanism, along established lines of communication, principally with WP coordinators – mainly by e-mail communications from project coordination office in Buenos Aires.
• Coordination legal, contractual, financial and administrative activities, mainly through CIRAD-Amis headquarter (Montpellier, France) project-support staff
• Coordination of consortium partnerships, through established communications channels : reporting, meetings, visits in the region.
• Linkages with pertinent on-going external projects, through both the France and Argentine - based CIRAD staff, helped by its partners (especially IICA and Cepal) and other EU R&D and policy networks.
• Coordination of the Steering Committee, especially ensuring timely and effective meetings around priority project issues, and the efficient implementation in the project, of its recommendations
